Press release: Tasmanian Yoga Teacher receives grant from
Yoga For Good Foundation
A generous Yoga For Good grant has helped with the costs of printing and publishing Butterflies Be Gone.
Since this is our first book, this grant has given us the freedom to focus on marketing and distributing the book and any profits will go straight back into publishing the next one!
I am deeply grateful to Yoga For Good for enabling us to publish Butterflies Be Gone. Hybrid publishing children’s books is an enormous commitment in terms of finance, time and energy, which wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of the Yoga For Good Foundation. However, we feel it’s worth every cent, every bit of sweat and drop of tear, and all the time in the world when we hear how much children are benefitting from our book.
Thank you, Yoga For Good!

Tasmanian Yoga Teacher receives $10,000 from Yoga For Good Foundation
to publish children’s yoga therapy book
Tasmanian yoga therapist and neuroscience PhD, Dr Adele Vincent, has written a children’s yoga book designed to help children overcome fear and anxiety. Adele received a $10,000 grant from the Yoga For Good Foundation to help publish her book that has been co-authored with Loraine Rushton – Australia’s leading authority on yoga and yoga therapy for children and teens.
The Yoga For Good Foundation is a not for profit organisation giving grants to yoga teachers and organisations to do good in their communities. They believe in empowering people to do good through yoga and hope to help yoga teachers grow through their programs, content and grants.
Adele has witnessed a lot of stress and anxiety in people and retrained as a yoga therapist to help give people tools to process stress, anxiety and fear. She believes that with the right tools and teachings people have the potential to change themselves.
‘I want to help parents with anxious children feel confident that they can help their kids work through their feelings. Butterflies Be Gone gives children 4-8 years the tools and techniques to feel calm and centred. This book and my yoga
teachings give children a better understanding of their body and emotions and foster resilience and a positive mindset. This beautifully illustrated and engaging storybook role models how children can learn to feel good in themselves.
‘The Yoga For Good Grant has helped with the costs of printing and publishing our book. I how have 2000 copies to distribute through my website and bookshops. I am truly grateful for what Yoga For Good has done for me’.
The Yoga For Good Foundation provides a platform for projects that benefit local communities through yoga principles, meditation and mindfulness. Now entering its third year, the Yoga For Good Foundation grant program has awarded over 100K in funds to a total of 13 organisations across Australia.
Moira Gordon, Director for the Yoga For Good Foundation, said they were delighted to see an increase in the interest levels for the grant program each time they opened.
‘There was a big increase in the number of people applying for grants with each new round of grants opening. It’s truly rewarding to see the growth to the Foundation and the strong desire of good people and organisations wanting to help communities in a deep and meaningful way.
