Awesome article by Yoga For Good Foundation about ‘Shout It Out’
and the grant it received

Again, YFG has generously helped to fund the printing and publishing of our second children’s yoga book, Shout It Out.

Thanks largely to the Yoga For Good grant scheme, we have been able to publish a second yoga book for children that, like our first book, Butterflies Be Gone, may otherwise not have made it out into the world and into the hands of the children and families who need it most.

Shout It Out! Yoga Therapy for Emotional Resilience may benefit even more children than our first book because all kids have feelings and emotions and need to learn emotional intelligence and resilience.

Thank you again, Yoga For Good. We are enormously, endlessly grateful for your generous support.

Move Yoga Therapy, ‘Shout It Out', yoga therapy for emotional resilience
by Yoga For Good Foundation

Adele has a PhD in neuroscience, multiple yoga qualifications and is an author. Her first children’s yoga storybook, ‘Butterflies Be Gone’, is for overcoming fear and anxiety. It’s co-authored by Loraine Rushton of Zenergy Yoga, who has a wealth of expertise in the field of children’s yoga. Their second yoga storybook, ‘Shout It Out’, is for emotional expression and resilience and is currently with the publisher Little Steps. Adele aims to make yoga therapy and emotional resilience accessible and achievable for all children and families with her beautiful and compelling children’s yoga therapy picture storybooks.

Her new book gives ordinary kids and families a toolkit to manage everyday emotions as well as the bigger emotional challenges that result from major life events.

A grant from Yoga For Good Foundation (YFG) is helping to fund the production process for publication with the same team as her previous book sponsored by YFG.

‘Shout it Out’ is due to be launched in early 2024, and has a good chance of being signed up by an overseas publisher.

In Adele’s words:

“All children have big emotions that they need to learn how to manage in a safe and socially acceptable way. Some are lucky and have emotionally intelligent, grounded, stable, balanced parents – but many children do not. We wish to give all children – and especially those less supported in life – the tools to help calm themselves down and build mental, physical and emotional resilience and connection with their inner selves. These are all inseparable parts of the whole child and need to be nurtured, balanced and grounded so that a sustained connection to self may be supported for a happy, contented, productive life with freedom from excessive emotional trauma and suffering.”

This book targets 3–8-year-olds, families and classrooms, emphasising that yoga benefits both adults and kids for emotional stability. Studies indicate parental

mental health is crucial for reducing children’s mental health disorders. Stable parents aid children in navigating daily and major life challenges, such as a new sibling, childcare, school, a loss in the family or a global pandemic.

Based on her experience, Adele recognises a significant demand for increased support in fostering safe emotional expression within families.

We all hope that these books will seed the idea in children and parents that they always have a choice, and help them to choose the best path for themselves and their families and communities as we all grow into maturity.
